Accessible, compliant, done right.
ADA Compliancein VA & NC
Accessible spaces, ramps and signage that meet state and ADA code.
Also called handicap parking, accessible parking, ADA striping.

If your lot is open to the public, accessible parking is not optional — and getting it wrong is one of the easier ways for a property owner to end up with a complaint.
It is also more detailed than most people expect. Compliance is not just a blue stall. It covers the width of the space, the access aisle beside it, how many spaces a lot of your size requires, how many of those need to be van accessible, the accessible route from the space to the entrance, and signage mounted at the right height where it will not be blocked by a parked vehicle.
What we do
We lay out and mark accessible stalls with correct dimensions and access aisles, paint the symbols and hatching, place the signage, and make sure the count matches what your lot size requires. If your existing layout is short on spaces or the aisles are undersized, we will tell you before we paint rather than after.
Doing it with the rest of the work
The sensible time to sort this out is when the lot is being sealed or re-striped anyway — the layout is already coming up, so bringing it into compliance costs very little on top.
We are a paving and striping contractor, not code consultants, so for anything unusual we will tell you plainly that you should confirm it with your local authority. What we can promise is that the standard requirements get done properly.
Common questions
ADA Compliancequestions.
- How many accessible spaces does my lot need?
- It scales with the total number of spaces, and a proportion of those need to be van accessible. Tell us your lot size and we will work out what applies to you.
- Is repainting the blue lines enough?
- Not on its own. Compliance covers stall width, the access aisle beside it, the route to the entrance, slope, and signage at the correct height. Fresh paint on a non-compliant layout is still non-compliant.
- Do you supply the signs as well?
- Yes — we handle the pavement markings and the signage together, so the whole thing is correct rather than half done.
