Clear lines. Safer lots.
Line Stripingin VA & NC
Clear, compliant parking layouts that keep traffic moving safely.
Also called parking lot striping, line painting, re-striping.

This is where the business started. Before the paving and the sealcoating, Lines by JD was a parking lot line striping crew — and it is still the work we are fussiest about.
Good striping is not just paint. A lot that is laid out properly moves traffic in one direction, puts people where you want them, keeps fire lanes and accessible stalls where the code says they belong, and fits the most cars into the space you have.
Why it matters more than people think
A faded lot causes real problems. Drivers park at angles and waste spaces. Traffic meets head-on in aisles that were meant to be one-way. Accessible stalls stop being clearly marked, which is both a safety issue and a compliance one. And every one of those is a liability sitting on your property.
Crisp lines fix all of it at once, and they do more for the look of a property than almost anything else you can spend the same money on. A tired building with a freshly striped lot reads as well-kept. A new building with a faded lot does not.
What we handle
Standard stalls, angled and one-way layouts, fire lanes, loading zones, crosswalks, directional arrows, numbering, wheel stops and accessible stalls with the correct access aisles and signage. New layouts from scratch, or re-striping over what is already there.
If your lot is also due a seal, doing both together is the sensible order — seal first, then stripe onto the fresh surface so the lines have something clean to bond to.
Common questions
Line Stripingquestions.
- How often does a parking lot need re-striping?
- Most lots need it every one to two years, sooner where traffic and snow ploughs are hard on the paint. If drivers are starting to guess where the spaces are, it is overdue.
- Can you stripe a lot you did not seal?
- Absolutely. We stripe plenty of lots we did not surface. If the pavement is sound, we can lay out and paint it.
- Can you change the layout to fit more cars?
- Often, yes. Adjusting angles and stall widths within code can add spaces to the same footprint. We will measure it and show you what is possible before anything gets painted.
